Who are you and why should I listen to you?

I am a hiker living in Cluj-Napoca, in the heart of Transylvania. I’ve been hiking for the past three decades, and in the last 10 year’s it’s been my main hobby. Could be considered a lot for some and little for others. I have climbed all 13 peaks in Romania with an altitude above 2500m (~8200 feet). I have visited around 30 countries from four continents and I have summited the highest peaks of France, Austria, Greece, Slovenia, Kosovo, Cyprus and Romania. Again, a lot for some and little for others. I personally know people who have visited twice as much countries, summited peaks much more difficult and have hiked ten fold as much as myself.

What is the motivation behind the blog and the YouTube channel?

Hiking is about connecting with nature, relaxing and feeling good, and as such it’s very personal, with no hard rules (except safety concerns and respecting nature and others).

Learning and teaching is my main passion. After helping a dozen of friends with hiking related advice, I thought that others could benefit from my guidance as well.

Why is it trilingual?

That’s an easy one. To reach as many people as possible. Transylvania has been traditionally a multicultural region, so it’s natural for a site and a YouTube channel about its natural wonders to be multilingual as well.
